The School of Urban and Regional Planning in the Faculty of Community Services at Ryerson University invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor effective July 1, 2019, subject to final budgetary approval.
The primary research and teaching interests of the successful candidate must be in the following area: Environmental Planning as it relates to climate change, hazards and resiliency, land use and health with skills in data analysis and quantitative methods.

Campaigns Communications Assistant
Food Secure Canada is looking for a full-time Campaigns Assistant for our Montreal office for a 10 week summer contract position.
This summer, our team will be launching the biggest pre-election campaign on food in Canada: Eat, Think, Vote. The goal of this campaign is to engage citizens across the country in locally-hosted discussions with candidates for federal office on issues related to food policy. Using a spectrum of online and offline tools, the Campaigns Communications Assistant will support the Campaign Director in ensuring that citizens and grassroots organizations have the resources and knowledge they need to mobilize candidates around a vision for a more just, healthy and sustainable food system.

Please note candidates must be between the ages of 15 and 30 by the start of the contract, and meet some eligibility requirements (link is external) related to citizenship status set by the Canadian government.
Full-time (37.5 hours per week) position, at $15/hour
June 25th to August 30th (10 week contract)

Food Secure Canada is looking for a full-time Communications Assistant for our Montreal office for a 7-month contract position
Based in our Montreal office, the communications team employs a spectrum of online and offline tools to engage citizens, grassroots organizations and key political actors in a cross-sectoral social movement to build a more just, healthy and sustainable food system. Within this team, the communications assistant plays a critical role in the daily work of building the food movement’s capacity for political change by animating our social media platforms, improving and updating our website content and newsletter as well as advancing communication strategies for specific campaigns and events.
