Community Gardening as a Political Act: Free Presentation

Join The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education and Ella von der Haide for presentation on activism through community gardening. This event is in partnership with the Chang School’s Certificate in Food Security and Course Series in Urban Agriculture, and Toronto Urban Growers. Ella will talk about the social and political impacts of community gardens and how the day-to-day actions of community gardeners

Ella von der Haide is a German filmmaker, garden activist, and spatial planning researcher from the University of Kassel. She is currently working on a PhD film project on queer feminist ecologies in the gardens of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and other queer individuals.
