economy and is socially tied to issues of food insecurity.
TFPC members have identified food waste as a priority issue. The TFPC is interested in a food system’s
approach to food waste that incorporates reduction and diversion initiatives and takes into
consideration the benefits of closed loop nutrient recycling and promotes urban metabolism.
