September 12th TFPC (Formal) Meeting, 2-5pm

The next Toronto Food Policy Council meeting is on Wednesday September 12, 2018 from 2-5pm in Committee Room 4 at Toronto City Hall.

It will be Urban Agriculture Week in Toronto and this meeting will feature 2 exciting presentations on the topic!

  1. Sonia Dhir from the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority will be presenting their new Urban Agriculture Strategy
  2. Rhonda Title-Payne and James Kuhns from Toronto Urban Growers will be speaking about their new report, titled: Getting to Green, which is about the barriers and opportunities to urban agriculture in Toronto. It was written on behalf of the Toronto Agriculture Program.

The public is always welcome to attend the entire community meeting!

Urban Agriculture Week runs from September 8th to 16th and includes 9 days worth of garden tours, harvest parties, workshops and urban-focused tasting menus that will celebrate the diversity of food grown in the city and the people who grow it.

The Urban Agriculture Fair will be Saturday Sept 8th, from 11am – 5pm in Regent Park, where The Best in GrowTO Contest will take place!
