All-Candidates Debate #VoteONFood

The Ryerson Centre for Studies in Food Security, Sustain Ontario and the Toronto Food Policy Council are organizing an All-Candidates Debate on food issues in the upcoming provincial election on Monday May 28th in Ryerson Student Learning Centre (SLC) Amphitheatre (corner Yonge and Gould) from 2-4pm

Food security, agriculture and food policy will be highlighted. All four of the main parties in the Ontario election have been invited and 6 questions have been prepared  for each party to answer. Each question will be asked by a leader of a farm or food organization. Some of these leading food and farming advocates who will each be posing a question include:

  • Keith Currie, President of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture
  • Paul Taylor, Executive Director of FoodShare
  • Leticia Deawuo, Black Creek Community Farm Director
  • Board member, Sustain Ontario, the Alliance for Healthy Food and Farming

Let’s make food and farming a priority this election.
